CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR OCTOBER ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

Carson Stokes Football Senior in the month of October Carson had 239 total yards and 3 TD’s on offense and 25 tackles, 1 fumble caused  and 1 interception on defense.  Coach Mitchell had this to say about Carson “As our overall MVP he was a great leader for us all year on the field as well as in the classroom with a 3.93 GPA”. Carson said his “WHY” for playing football is because I genuinely love the sport.  I love the friendships that football builds and the rush I get every Friday night.  I also love challenging myself and nothing has challenged me as much as football has.  Carson’s role model is his Dad. “He has always been there for me and has supported me throughout my football experience.  He is motivating and he is always in the back of my mind when I play.  I strive to be as successful as he has been.” Carson’s plans after high school are to play College Football (not sure where yet) and get a business degree.  His favorite subject is Marketing, favorite food is Italian, favorite song is Sky Scrapper by Demi Lovato and favorite movie is Creed.

Jacob Rhoades Football Senior in the month of October Rhoades had 285 total yards with 3 TD’s on offense and 15 tackles and 1 sack on defense.  Coach Mitchell had this to say about Jacob “He was a key player for us on offense and defense, and we could always rely on him to make a big play”.  Jacob said his “WHY” for playing football is because football is such an amazing game that taught me so many life lessons.  Also to be able to play my final year of football with my “brothers”‘.Jacob’s role model he says without a doubt are his parents.  With them being so successful it really helps motivate me to go above and beyond their expectations.  Jacob’s plans after high school are to play college baseball in Oregon.  His favorite subject is Sports Med., his favorite food is Costa Vida Burrito, favorite song is Dream Catcher by Metro Boomin and favorite movie is Hot Rod.

Karli Nielson Volleyball Sophomore  Coach McKay had this to say about Karli “She has had several double/doubles throughout the season. She’s also 3rd in the region for kills, and has had 172 kills on the season. She is also a good student and a good teammate who pushes her teammates to be better.”  Karli said her “WHY” for playing volleyball was it is all I think about all the time.  I love it so much and I want to be the best I can be so I will keep pushing until I reach that.  Karli’s role model is Ashlen Bell “because she always has a good attitude on and off the court and she is a good leader”.  Karli’s plans after high school are to hopefully play volleyball at the Univeristy of Arkansas.  Her favorite subject is math, favorite food is bread, favorite song is Forever by Chris Brown and favorite movie is Creed 2.
