Congrats to our November Athletes of the Month Lindsey Cozad and Josh Potter from our Swim team.
Lindsey Cozad set five all-time NHS School Records for Swimming in the Roy swim meet. She eclipsed the 100 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke, and 100 Freestyle Individual Events and 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay Team Relays Events. This was a special night of performances by a Northridge high school athlete. When asked what it your “WHY” for swimming Lindsey had this to say ” I love the feeling of accomplishing something hard and achieving my goals that I set for myself.” Her role model is her coach because he has taught me how to work hard and how I can accomplish more then I think I can. After high school Lindsey hopes to swim in college and get a masters degree. Her favorite subject is Medical Anatomy. Favorite food Mac and Cheese. Favorite song is September by Earth Wind and Fire. Her favorite movie is Finding Nemo.
Joshua (Josh) Potter placed 1st overall in the 200 Freestyle Event. It was his first time of swimming this event. Josh also improved his personal best time in the 100 Butterfly by 6.05 seconds, placing 3rd overall in that event. Josh was also a member of the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay Team Relays. They finished 2nd in both of these. When asked what is your “WHY” for swimming Josh had this to say “I enjoy swimming because it gives me a chance to meet new people as well as get a great workout.” His role model for swimming is his mom. She was a Swimmer for the University of Utah and supports him at all his meets. After high school Josh plans on serving a mission and then go to college. His favorite subject is Math. Favorite food is Navajo Tacos. Favorite song Hotel California by the Eagles.
